SCREENSAVERS

Independent Kent brewers Shepherd Neame announced a sole sponsorship deal by Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale of coverage by Sky Sports of the five Test match series between England and South Africa - a first for the brand.

Sky Sports viewers who watched the Test highlights saw five specially created cricket-themed 'idents' running at the opening and closing sequences of the programme and on either side of each of the six commercial breaks.

The 'idents' feature stick men animation, developed by Shepherd Neame's advertising agency RPM3, and reflect the brands first TV ad campaign last year with its wartime themed, punchy brand of humour.

One execution features couples dancing to Glenn Miller being interrupted by an air raid siren and running for cover. The punch line reads "No Ball".

The sponsorship delivers the Spitfire brand to our target audience and the clever cricket-themed executions achieve a perfect synergy between the brand and the sport.
