Shepherd Neame has acquired, for an undisclosed sum, the Jamaica Wine House, a bustling meeting place in the heart of the City for more than 350 years.

Shepherd Neame has installed a second PDX line, radical new technology which uses an injection of steam to heat the copper, saving energy, reducing CO2 emissions and improving the flavour and stability of the beer.

The Directors have declared an interim dividend for the year ending 27 June 2009 of 4.55 p on the £1 'A' Ordinary Shares and 0.091p on the 2p 'B' Ordinary Shares. This is at the same level as the previous year. The dividend will be paid on 9 April 2009 to shareholders on the register as at 3 April 2009.
